The Chianti region is located in the heart of Tuscany and it has always been disputed between Florence and Siena. Chianti is a vast hilly area known around the world for the wonderful landscape, that alternates castles, vineyards, olive groves, dry stone walls, woods and streams.

The region has a very long history and it was always well known for the quality of the wines produced in its vineyards. In fact the first document in which the name Chianti appeared in reference to the wine produced in the zone dates to 1398 and in the 17th century exports to England became increasingly frequent.

We’ll spend the day driving through the area discovering the most authentic places and meeting local people that are the custodians of the true spirit of the Chianti.

Lots of wine and extra virgin olive oil will be our travelling companions!!
